Behind the fun, behind the festivals, behind the kangaroos and the wildlife shows — there is a foundation.
Cobb's Exotic Animal Rescue & Education Foundation (CEAR) is the non-profit heart of everything the Cobb's family does. Built on the principle that exotic animals deserve better than the fate that too often awaits them, CEAR provides a permanent safe haven for rescued exotic animals — animals that were bought as pets, outgrew their situations, or found themselves without a home through no fault of their own.
Far too often, exotic animals are purchased on impulse. They grow. They need more space, more care, more expertise than their owners imagined. Many are sold and resold. Some are disposed of inhumanely. CEAR exists to break that cycle — by being the place that says yes when these animals need somewhere to go.
Every animal that comes to CEAR receives appropriate care, proper nutrition, and the individual attention their species requires. Many of them become permanent residents, living out their lives in a safe and caring environment. Others go on to become ambassadors in educational programs like the Wildlife Festival, helping to teach the public about the animals themselves and the issues surrounding exotic pet ownership.
When you attend a Wildlife Festival, visit Cobb's Adventure Park, or donate to CEAR, you are directly supporting the long-term care of animals that needed someone in their corner.
