This is not a family stroll through a pumpkin patch.
ScreamFest is for the brave, the thrill-hungry, and the ones who genuinely love to be terrified. Held annually in October, it is Calgary's scariest Halloween event — a full-scale Halloween festival built around multiple world-class haunted houses, each one with its own theme, its own horror, and its own reasons to make your heart rate spike.
Walk through The Dollhouse, where glassy-eyed dolls track your every move. Survive the Slaughterhouse, where the walls close in and the smell of fear is practically tangible. Face the chaos of Clown Town. Endure the Clinic, a rotting post-apocalyptic surgery ward where the doctors don't heal — they rebuild. Dare the darkness of Afraid of the Dark. And for the truly fearless: Zombie Outbreak, our most extreme haunted house, where the rules change and the actors can touch you. (Waiver required.)
But ScreamFest isn't just haunted houses. It's a full Halloween festival. Thrill rides, the Slingshot, Terror in 3D, Area 51 Monster Trucks, a Midway of Mayhem, games, the Screaming Room, and a currency system all its own — Killer Cash — to keep the fun going all night.
If you're looking for the scariest night of your year, you've found it.
